Storage & Preservation Risk

For components that degrade over time, quietly while simply in storage.

Protects:Long-Term Inventory, Spare Parts, Low-Turnover Components
Compliance:JEDEC J-STD-033, MSL Guidelines

Choose your level of protection

Storage & Preservation Risk LEVEL 1
LEVEL 1

BASIC PROTECTION

  • Storage Box
Best for: Short-term storage, components used within 1-2 months
Storage & Preservation Risk LEVEL 2
LEVEL 2

INDUSTRIAL PROTECTION

  • Storage Box
  • +Conductive Bin
Best for: Medium-term storage, regular long-term stock rotation
Storage & Preservation Risk LEVEL 3
LEVEL 3

CRITICAL PROTECTION

  • Storage Box
  • Conductive Bin
  • +Dry Cabinet
  • Nitrogen Cabinet
  • +Humidity Monitoring
Best for: Component with uncertain storage periods
Most long-term storage and inventory banks choose Level 2 (Industrial Protection).

Compliance Standards: JEDEC J-STD-033, MSL Guidelines

WHERE STORAGE & PRESERVATION DAMAGE ACTUALLY SHOWS UP

DURING STORAGE

Ordinary shelf storage exposes a component to humidity and air over time, even without ever being opened or handled.

HIDDEN UNTIL NEEDED

The component looks the same after a week as it does after a year. The difference only becomes apparent once it's finally used.

AT THE CUSTOMER'S END

A spare part or long-held component fails on first use, well after it was ever inspected.

FAQ DECK

Common Questions

Q: What package sealing technology is best for multi-year warehouse storage?

A: We use heavy-duty (6-mil+) foil-laminated Moisture Barrier Bags (MBBs) hermetically sealed with industrial vacuum nitrogen-flush sealers. Replacing ambient oxygen and moisture with dry nitrogen gas completely halts chemical oxidation and moisture degradation.

Q: Do plastic trays degrade and cause ESD leaks over a 5-year storage window?

A: Low-end antistatic coatings wash off or wear away, losing ESD effectiveness over time. For long-term preservation, we use materials formulated with carbon powder or inherently dissipative polymers (IDPs) that maintain permanent, non-migratory ESD characteristics.
